QET Tech Aerospace to Launch New Heavy Maintenance MRO in Mexico

On 28-August 2012, during a corner stone ceremony to launch the hangar project, Guillermo Padrés Elías, governor of Sonora Mexico, expressed his support with $75.7 million pesos (aprox $5.8 MM USD) to locate QET Tech Aerospace in Obregon.

For the last four years QET Tech Aerospace S.A de C.V. has been involved in many different aviation opportunities and re-investing all the profits in growing the business. “We are very pleased to locate in Sonora which is part of our business plan we a carefully following from SH&E” says Mike Dornenburg V.P. Technical and Commercial Operations. Presently, the company operating certificate is for national aircraft. It is also the only company in Mexico which has DGAC (Mexican Aviation Authority) delegated authority to do third party for both maintenance and operation audits.

“In the medium term, we will increase our capacity by building more hangars for aircraft maintenance, component repair and painting. In addition to national certifications, these hangars will also be certified by the Civil Aviation Agencies in the United States of America and Europe.” says Julio Alvarez, CEO of QET Tech Aerospace. The first hangar is scheduled to be completed December 2012.
